What Ideas Have You "Tried" That You Also Overlooked?

There’s a quiet frustration that settles in when you’ve spent real effort trying to change your life… and nothing takes. You try an idea. It feels inspired. You make a move. You give it a shot. And then — without warning — it fizzles. You lose momentum, lose direction, or drift back into what feels familiar.
Most people interpret this as inconsistency or lack of discipline. Which in turn tends to have you in the incessant "shame," "what's wrong with me," spiral spin.
But "inconsistency" as you know it is almost never the root problem.
If you pay attention — not to your behavior, but to the patterns underneath it — you start to see something truer:
You didn’t fail at the idea.
You were going after the wrong goal (or goals).
Not wrong because it was “bad.”
Wrong because it wasn’t yours. Anything not rooted in authenticity and your authentic identity is ultimately going to derail.
And knowing that difference changes everything.
I talk about this phenomenon in this excerpt from one of the Episodes of the UnCultured Show on YouTube. Take a quick listen.
